With the advent of the Hyper-Markets, Carrefore, WalMart, Lotus et al these wet markets are gradually going the way of the neighborhood butcher in the west. At the very least, they are being moved inside into somewhat more sanitary regulated environements. One of my favorite things to do here is to visit one of the huge 24 hour wholesale wet markets that sit on the edge of the city. Pile upon pile of vegetables and fruits.
Pudong, Shanghai. I think the guy actually spent the most time thinking about his outfit and getting dressed.
