The Lambretta brand originated from Lambrete, Milan, in 1947, where the Italian company Innocenti started manufacturing the Lambretta scooter. Although the scooter is no longer in production, its name and the style statement it stands for live on in the form of Lambretta Clothing - one of the UK and Europe’s most sought after and iconic fashion brands - embedded at the heart of youth culture.

To those around in the 1960’s, the name Lambretta is synonymous with the original Modmobile, the Lambretta scooter, and the distinctive Italian-influenced style of that era (think Quadrophenia). This heritage and attitude underpins the Lambretta streetwear label that burst onto the UK fashion scene in 1997 and has been increasingly important to a new generation of equally fashion conscious and aware people ever since.
