“Oh, you look lovely!” That couold be a lame start, I think, but this time it worked. And it did come from heart. I was standing in a busy-ish street corner, where wanted to do a “street fashion” shoot and everyody was dressed in boring black and grey.

And then there was Suvi, running from task to task. “Why, thank you! I do have the time, actually…”

So I built up my small street studio: two tripods, two flashes. One (the hair light) behind her, to the camera left, one (the main light) to camera right, near the axis.

Having a small problem with lense flare, I see.

“Oh, it’s like sun shining”, Suvi replied when she saw the shots. That’s a big compliment. The weather has been really, really depressing for the last month in Helsinki.
